Hackers unleased a massive distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack on Oct. 21, taking down the world's most popular web sites across the United States. It turns out the attacks were made possible, in large part, due to home-based internet-connected devices with poor security such as cameras, routers and digital video recorders.
