Lloyd's CEO Richard Ward is stepping down from the post at the end of the year. He will be missed, but, despite the catastrophes of 2005 and 2011, the two costliest years in the industry's history, as well as the financial crisis, he leaves Lloyd's with the largest reserve fund and the most capital in its history.
